Lessons stay practical. Bow contact, left-hand shape, intonation maps, and phrasing get equal time. You leave with a clear next practice block, not a vague pep talk.
The studio sits on Deansgate so you can arrive from tram and bus corridors without a long trek across town. Rooms are tuned for listening—quiet enough for soft dynamics, open enough for open-string warmth.
We favour adult-paced pacing: shorter focused sessions when evenings are tight, longer blocks when a recital or ensemble date approaches. Instruments can be discussed before you buy; we are happy to advise on rental paths available locally.

How first weeks unfold
We start with posture and sound production before stacking notes. If you already play, we audit habits kindly and keep what serves you. If you are new, open strings and simple melodies share the first month with listening drills you can do away from the instrument.
Manchester rhythm
Studio hours run Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00 and Saturday 10:00–14:00. Late slots exist for those leaving offices across the city centre. We pause on UK bank holidays and note closures on the contact page when they occur.
