These terms apply to visitors of shavedthermos.wtf and to clients who book lessons with Shaved Thermos Strings at 42 Deansgate, Manchester M3 2FE, United Kingdom. By using the site or booking services, you agree to these terms. Consumer rights under United Kingdom law are not excluded where they cannot legally be limited.

Studio services

We provide adult violin and strings tuition and related coaching as described on our pages. Lesson lengths, fees, and schedules are confirmed when you book. Descriptions on the website are informational; the booking confirmation is the practical agreement for a given package or single lesson. We may decline bookings that we cannot staff safely or that fall outside our adult studio focus.

Appointments and cancellations

Please give at least twenty-four hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson where possible. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged at the agreed rate unless we waive the fee due to illness or exceptional circumstances. Repeated no-shows may lead us to pause future bookings. Bank holidays and announced studio closures are communicated in advance to active students.

Payments

Fees are due as agreed—per lesson or in packages. Invoices or payment links will state amounts in pounds sterling unless otherwise noted. Unpaid balances may result in suspension of future slots until settled.

Conduct and safety

Students are expected to treat the room, instruments, and staff with care. We may end a session early if behaviour risks harm or seriously disrupts teaching. You are responsible for your own instrument unless we have explicitly loaned studio equipment for a session.

Website content

Content on this site is provided for general information about our Manchester studio. We aim for accuracy but do not warrant that every page is complete or continuously available. We may update copy, hours, or offerings without prior notice. Unauthorised scraping, copying for commercial reuse, or interference with the site is prohibited.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that United Kingdom law does not allow to be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website or from scheduling changes beyond our reasonable control. Our aggregate liability related to a booked lesson package is limited to fees paid for the unused portion of that package where applicable.

Intellectual property

Studio branding, site text, and original materials we produce remain our property or that of respective rights holders. Repertoire scores you purchase remain subject to their publishers’ licences.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that may apply if you reside elsewhere in the United Kingdom.
